A UK leading specialist M&E / Mechanical and Electrical Contractor seek the appointment of an Electrical Storeman / Electrical Stores Person / Storeman to join their incredibly successful and award winning business. Based in Chichester, West Sussex, you will be site based on an incredibly large ongoing project working in their Electrical stores. You will be highly organised and work well on your own as well as part of a team. We are looking to appoint x3 people for the Stores. Ideally as a minimum, you might have worked as an Electricians Mate or similar, someone who is organised and a quick learner to come in and establish yourself in the electrical stores. You will be responsible for the administration, purchasing, ordering materials, processing, vendor compliance as well as the receipt, storage and distribution of goods in addition to general maintenance and good housekeeping of the stores. We also seek applicants who will ideally have prior experience taking in and checking all deliveries confirming goods received, that they are stored accurately, safely and note any variances OR are prepared to learn this. You will check quantities and inspect items, arrange drop off points for goods on site, store or distribute goods to sites as required ensuring that all relevant personnel are notified of deliveries and location of stores / materials. We seek an approachable and personable character who can liaise well with colleagues and suppliers on issues of product quantity or quality and take measures to reduce the level of redundant stock. Working hours are 7am – 4.30pm and this also offers OVERTIME. Ideally, you might also have previous experience of working on a busy construction site or in an engineering environment, have excellent attention to detail, communication and organisational skills, strong IT skills, using Word, Excel, Outlook and any previously used Stores System, but we may be open minded and will give applications serious consideration Should you have this kind of background and experience or similar transferable experience, then please send an up to date CV in the first instance for immediate consideration for this urgent and important appointment.
