A multi million pound turnover M&E contractor enjoying continued success seeks the solid appointment of a talented and skilled QS / Quantity Surveyor to join their highly stable and reputable organisation. This award winning contractor covers multiple schemes from high end residential through to commercial and industrial based projects.
Candidates highly sought after are those ideally from an M&E / Mechanical & Electrical Services / Building Services background; however, we will consider talented and proven Quantity Surveyors from more of a construction background, capable of learning the M&E sector quickly. You may already have had a progressive career to date or you may be fairly early into it, with at least a minimum of two years and looking to build on your experience further; your application is still welcome and will be seriously considered.
You will track both internal and external costs on each job from handover right through to final account sign off. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will be experienced in reviewing multiple levels of Contract documentation and have a strong understanding of tender information and tender bills of quantities (BOQ's). You will prepare cost plans in line with commercial SOP's and report on cost plans highlighting any potential issues they may have.
Candidates sought will have experience of procuring major suppliers and sub-contractor packages and prepare monthly interim valuations and variations to their clients. Naturally, you will be very thorough with your administration and prepare contract documents to sub-contractors and issue all main Contract Documents / Collateral Warranties up the line for review. Auditing sub-contractors for payment and any valuations as expected is part of the role, as well as uploading any variations to their dedicated ERP system.
You will be confident and knowledgeable as a QS whilst in the search for continuous perfection and implementing any further educated methods. We seek someone with seriously grounded commercial acumen coupled by integrity and with an approachable attitude.
