We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join a busy food manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on, shop-floor leadership role, responsible for supporting daily production targets while maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene, quality and efficiency.
You will lead, motivate and organise a team of operatives, ensuring production runs smoothly and safely. You will also support with goods in, raw materials, finished goods, machinery operation, production checks, documentation and shift handovers.
Key Responsibilities- Lead and support a production team to achieve daily output targets
- Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, GMP, HACCP, allergen control and health & safety standards
- Monitor production performance, waste, downtime and quality KPIs
- Complete line checks, start-up checks, CCP checks, paperwork and handovers
- Support training, coaching and development of team members
- Work closely with Technical, Quality, Engineering, Warehouse and Planning teams
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping, traceability and audit readiness
- Load and unload materials and finished goods as required
- Previous experience in food manufacturing, food production or FMCG
- Experience supervising or leading a team in a fast-paced production environment
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, GMP and HACCP
- Strong communication, organisation and problem-solving skills
- Confident using basic IT systems
- Able to work under pressure while maintaining standards
- FLT licence
- Desirable experience includes BRCGS, audits, corrective actions, line clearance, CCP checks, traceability, allergen controls, lean manufacturing or 5S.
