We are seeking a skilled Site Electrical Engineer to join our Operations team in Ilkeston, supporting the safe and efficient running of a high-volume facility. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys problem-solving, preventative maintenance, and working with a wide range of industrial machinery and control systems.
The Role
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance tasks to ensure plant reliability, minimise downtime, and support continuous production.
Key responsibilities include:
- Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) in line with site schedules
- Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults across a variety of machinery and systems
- Responding quickly to breakdowns, prioritising safety and production continuity
- Fault finding on Siemens PLC systems and wider electrical controls
- Installing, testing, commissioning, and maintaining electrical systems
- Maintaining emergency lighting circuits and conducting testing requirements
- Ensuring all electrical work complies with current regulations and standards
