Robertson Recruitment are working with a manufacturing client based in Newark as they look for a hands-on workshop manager to oversee the daily operations. This includes managing staff, ensuring efficient workflow and maintaining health and safety standards.
Working hours: Monday to Friday 08:00am - 16:00.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate and oversee workshop operations
- Manage a team of machine operators and drivers
- Ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard
- Maintain inventory levels
- Monitor compliance and health and safety
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and staffing hours
- Resolve technical issues or escalate the more complex issues
Essential skills:
- Experience working in a workshop in and around machinery such as saws and lasers
- Understanding of machine maintenance
- Understanding of health and safety regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Knowledgeable in workshop management software or Microsoft Office tools
- At least 3 years experience in a workshop management role
