Office Manager responsible for the day-to-day financial processes of a busy manufacturer. The position encompasses supervision of the usual finance office activities including accounts payable/receivable, payroll support and bank reconciliations, whilst maintaining accurate records using Sage 200. Must be able to supervise staff of at least two persons. The appointed individual will ensure compliance with internal policies and is expected to have high numeracy and attention to detail. Support is provided through the Company’s external accountants.
Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Supervise and assist with Sales and Purchase ledger operations ensuring appropriate risk management of credit accounts and payments to suppliers.
- Ensure that accurate, up-to-date financial records are maintained and prepare monthly management accounts for the board. Prepare other ad hoc reports as required.
- Assist with payroll administration, employee expenses, and prepare VAT returns.
- Handle financial enquiries via email/phone, data entry, and filing financial documents.
- Ensuring all financial practices comply with regulations and internal policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High level of accuracy in data entry and calculations.
- Experience with Sage 200 and MS Office 365, with advanced skills working with Excel.
- Strong written and verbal skills for communicating with customers and suppliers.
- Ability to supervise minimum of two persons.
- Ability to manage time effectively, prioritise tasks, and work under pressure.
- Previous experience in a similar finance or administrative role is preferred.
The overreaching objective is to maintain the customer accounts in an appropriately risk-controlled manner appropriate to the culture of the business.
