Robertson Recruitment are working with a manufacturing company as they look for a laser operator. You will be responsible for operating CNC laser cutting machinery to produce high-quality components to customer specifications, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and adherence to health and safety standards.
Working hours: 18:00pm - 06:00am, 4 on 4 off shift pattern
Key Responsibilities:
- Setting up and operating CNC laser cutting machines
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
- Loading materials and unloading finished components
- Carrying out basic machine adjustments and checks
- Monitoring cutting quality and making corrections where necessary
Requirements:
- Previous experience operating CNC laser cutting machines (essential)
- Experience working with sheet metal (mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium)
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team
- Knowledge of health & safety in a manufacturing environment
