Robertson recruitment are looking for a HGV class 2 driver to join our client on a permanent basis. This role involves the delivery, collection, and transportation of RoRo skips across commercial, industrial, and construction sites, ensuring a high standard of customer service and compliance at all times.
Working hours: Monday to Friday Approximately 48-50 hours per week. Typical start time: 5:00am Return to depot: 3:00pm - 4:00pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Safely operate a Class 2 Roll-On Roll-Off vehicle.
- Deliver, exchange, and collect RoRo containers from customer sites.
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Complete all relevant paperwork accurately and efficiently.
- Ensure loads are secured and transported in accordance with company procedures and legislation.
- Maintain excellent customer relationships whilst representing the business professionally.
- Adhere to all Driver Hours Regulations, Working Time Directive, and Health & Safety requirements.
Requirements:
- Valid Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence.
- Valid Driver CPC Qualification Card.
- Digital Tachograph Card.
- Previous Roll-On Roll-Off (RoRo) experience preferred but not essential.
- Good understanding of transport legislation and driver compliance.
- Strong communication skills and a customer-focused approach.
- Ability to work independently and manage daily workloads effectively.
- Hooklift or Tipper experience would be beneficial.
