Robertson Recruitment are working on behalf of our well-established client, who are rapidly growing due to much success. We are looking for an experienced CNC Miller & Programmer. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a variety of precision-engineered components using modern CNC machinery in a clean, well-equipped manufacturing environment.

The Role:
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision-engineered components safely, efficiently and accurately. Programming experience is essential for this role.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Create, edit and optimise CNC milling programmes using CAD/CAM software and machine controls
- Produce first-off components to engineering drawing specifications
- Modify and improve existing programmes to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency
- Maintain programme documentation and backups
- Set and operate CNC milling machines
- Select appropriate tooling and fixtures
- Manufacture one-off and batch components to tight tolerances
- Carry out tool changes, offsets and machine adjustments
- Inspect components using precision measuring equipment, including verniers, micrometers, bore gauges and height gauges
- Complete first-off inspections
- Identify and report any non-conformances promptly
Essential Experience Needed:
- Proven experience as a CNC Miller
- Programming experience is essential
- Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude
Desirable Experience:
- CAD/CAM programming experience
- Experience with Hurco, Haas, Mazak or Fanuc controls
- Experience operating Haas and Matsuura machinery
- Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification
Working Hours:
- 39 hours per week Monday to Friday
- Flexible working hours; start as early as 6:00am
- Complete your 39 hours across five working days to suit your preferred schedule
