The Role:
\n
This is a hands-on role where you'll be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high-quality precision-engineered components safely, efficiently and accurately.
\n
Programming experience is essential for this role.
\n

What You'll Be Doing:
\n
- \n
- Create, edit and optimise CNC milling programmes using CAD/CAM software and machine controls
- Produce first-off components to engineering drawing specifications
- Modify and improve existing programmes to reduce cycle times and improve efficiency
- Maintain programme documentation and backups
\n
\n
\n
\n\n
Setting & Operating:
\n
- \n
- Set and operate CNC milling machines
- Select appropriate tooling and fixtures
- Manufacture one-off and batch components to tight tolerances
- Carry out tool changes, offsets and machine adjustments
\n
\n
\n
\n\n
Quality:
\n
- \n
- Inspect components using precision measuring equipment, including verniers, micrometers, bore gauges and height gauges
- Complete first-off inspections
- Identify and report any non-conformances promptly
\n
\n

Essential Experience Needed:

- Proven experience as a CNC Miller
- Programming experience is essential
- Experience setting and operating CNC milling machines
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Excellent attention to detail
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude

Desirable Experience:
\n
- \n
- CAD/CAM programming experience.
- Experience with Hurco, Haas, Mazak or Fanuc controls.
- Experience operating Haas and Matsuura machinery.
- Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
