Forklift driver


Robertson Recruitment are working with a sheet metal fabrication company based in Nottingham as they look for a forklift driver to join their team on a permanent basis. For this role you will be driving a counterbalance truck as well as helping out in the dispatch area lifting components made out of steel and aluminium. Please be aware you must have a valid forklift licence for this role.
Working hours
18:00 PM 02:30 AM. Monday Friday. With 30 minutes unpaid lunch break plus one 15-minute paid break.
Duties
  • Safely operate forklifts to move sheet metal materials, finished products, and supplies around the facility
  • Load and unload delivery trucks with care and accuracy
  • Maintain clear and organized inventory in designated areas
  • Work closely with fabrication and warehouse teams to ensure smooth workflow
  • Follow all safety procedures and contribute to a clean, organized work environment
Skills required
  • Valid forklift certification (Counterbalance)
  • Comfortable handling heavy and large sheet metal materials
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
