We are looking for an experienced loading shovel operator to join a busy and growing company in Ilkeston. This is a fast-paced, busy and physically demanding role, so you must be prepared for hard work and be happy working in a yard environment. In return, the company offers a stable, long-term opportunity with excellent prospects for the right person.
Rotating shifts: 6:00am - 2:00pm, 2:00pm - 10:00pm (Monday to Friday)
Duties include:
- Operating a front shovel loader
- Loading and unloading lorries
- Moving materials around the yard
- Working with rubble, stone, sand, ash and other waste materials
- General yard duties and housekeeping
- Following health and safety procedures
What we're looking for:
- Previous front shovel loader experience
- Reliable with excellent attendance and timekeeping
- Flexible and willing to help where needed
- Must be available for overtime when required
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
