Your new role:

The Transformation Manager is a key member of the RFM Operations Leadership Team in England and Wales, responsible for leading and delivering change and improvement programmes across key accounts within the region. The Transformation Manager ensures that all facilities management operations are efficient, compliant, customer-focused and profitable, while driving continuous improvement and supporting the company’s growth strategy within the region.

The scope of the role focuses on the following areas:

Key Responsibilities:

Operational Transformation
  • Lead on operational improvement plans focused on compliance and update rectification plans as required.
  • Ensure customer focus and contractual compliance in key accounts as agreed with the Operations Director and CEO.
  • Lead on efficiency initiatives and sustainability improvements across the portfolio.
  • Promote best practice and innovation in service delivery to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Explore and introduce innovative solutions to enhance sustainability, energy management, and smart building services on key accounts.
  • Support the Regional Operations team with organisational planning, transformation, and growth of service lines (hard FM, soft FM, TFM, compliance services), where appropriate.
People Leadership
  • Lead cross functional teams to deliver strategic projects.
  • Work closely with Senior Leaders and with the RFM Board to align transformation with regional business objectives.
  • Foster and embed a culture of agility, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organisation.
  • Coach operational leaders to adopt new ways of working and continuous improvement mindsets.
  • Foster a culture of safety, compliance, accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Governance & Performance
  • Collaborate with commercial and operations teams to design solutions that meet client needs.
  • Ensure transformation supports both profitability and customer experience.
  • Establish KPIs, milestones, and reporting frameworks to track transformation outcomes.
  • Support Contract Managers to manage budgets, resources, and risk associated with transformation programmes.
  • Report progress and challenges to the RFM Board and senior leadership team.
Client & Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, supply chain partners, senior leaders and internal teams.
  • Champion excellent customer experience and retention across all FM contracts.
  • Act as an escalation point for operational transformation agendas.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Senior operational leadership experience within UK facilities management or building services.
  • Strong understanding of UK compliance frameworks, H&S regulations, and statutory maintenance.
  • Commercially and financially astute with experience managing P&L.
  • Strong senior leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
  • Strong project management delivery skills with a pragmatic and agile approach to delivery.
  • A demonstrated capacity for strategic thinking and the development and implementation of new products and services.
  • Experience in delivering targets through the effective leadership of people.
