Working hours: 38.75 hours, Monday to Friday

Main Purpose of the Job: Ownership and management of the estimating function of FM bid management (Hard FM, Soft FM, Total FM and Single service). Manage and develop benchmarking costing models which can be presented to the Robertson Board. Work closely with other relevant teams including Business Development, Commercial Management and Operations to fully understand risk and financial implications. Additional duties to include the positive contribution to the FM Strategy & Business Development department.

Duties:

  • Prepare analytical estimating packages for the full cost of the service.
  • Work closely with the operational team to develop detailed and achievable Service solutions and agree with operational management.
  • Provide specialist estimating advice and support generally and particularly in respect of tenders and proposals and commenting upon win themes, commercial models, analysis and option appraisals.
  • Attend site visits as required across the UK as part of the bid process.
  • Prepare work packages and develop subcontractor costs.
  • Labour loading of asset information.
  • Produce bottom up and overview pricing methodologies.
  • Propose innovative solutions to deliver client requirements.
  • Contribute to the bid submission documentation and interviews as required.
  • Keep abreast of competitors methodologies.
  • Mentor and develop estimating skills throughout the business.
  • Prepare estimating ‘handover packs’ to Operation’s upon Contract win.
  • Provide on-going support to site teams relating to estimate and key assumptions.
  • Obtain feedback from site teams on estimating adequacy and current costs.
  • Contribute to the generation of BD Management information reports.
  • Ensure where appropriate accurate and timely financial information is presented to the RFM Finance department.
  • To uphold the combined vision, values and ethos of RFM and that of our stakeholders at all times.
  • To actively engage with Robertson Communities, supporting and contributing to projects and programmes delivered.
  • Undertake such other duties as may be reasonably required of him/her in the role.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Degree level in relevant Facilities Management or Construction related discipline preferred or 3 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • Experienced FM Professional.
  • Highly customer focused.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Must have an exceptional understanding of SFG20.
