Your new role

To project manage various business systems projects primarily related to Robertson Construction Group, with opportunities to support other Robertson businesses and functions as required. This includes scoping projects, leading selection of solutions, undertaking project management through to delivery, and reviewing and designing business processes to ensure systems enable efficient and consistent ways of working.

Duties

  • Initiate and define business systems projects, agreeing objectives, scope, deliverables, success measures, timelines, and resourcing with stakeholders.
  • Gather, document and manage business requirements, facilitating workshops to confirm needs, priorities, and acceptance criteria.
  • Analyse and redesign end‑to‑end processes to enable efficient, standardised ways of working, aligning process changes with system change.
  • Lead options appraisal and solution selection (market review, demos, scoring, and due diligence), producing recommendations that cover value, risk, data protection, security, integration, scalability and total cost of ownership.
  • Own project governance and controls, maintaining plans, budgets and RAID logs, providing clear reporting and timely escalation.
  • Deliver projects end‑to‑end (initiation to handover), coordinating internal teams and third parties to meet agreed scope, schedule, cost and quality.

Qualifications/Experience Required

  • Demonstrable experience project managing business systems change (scoping, requirements, solution selection and delivery) across multiple stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of information security and assurance principles, including alignment to ISO27001 and Cyber Essentials, and the ability to embed security‑by‑design into system changes.
  • Understanding of software/system lifecycle management (change control, release planning, documentation, support handover, and end‑of‑life/decommissioning).
  • Experience managing technology suppliers and services, including performance oversight, value management, and commercial awareness.
  • Resilience in the face of opposition.
  • Ability to motivate, explain and influence staff at all levels.

  • Experience of working within the construction sector.
