Location: Mobile, Wakefield, Normanton Depot

Contract: Full time, permanent. Hours: 38.75 hours per week. Operational hours - Monday to Friday 08.00 - 18.00.

Your new role

What you’ll do:

  • Ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement between RFM and our client(s).
  • Undertake planned, responsive, and cyclical maintenance work either independently or as assistant to a maintenance tradesperson on:
    • Service and repair of lighting and power distribution systems.
    • Reactive repairs to all types of lighting systems and power distribution systems.
    • Service and repair of motors and pumps.
    • Competent on BMS control systems.
    • Competent PAT tester.
  • Undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the Client.
  • To undertake planned and responsive electrical work either independently or supervised.
  • To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment, and tools.
  • To always operate with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
  • To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and ensuring all tasks are completed within contractual timescales, informing the Supervisor of any follow up action that may be required.
  • Ability to complete NICEIC documentation.
  • Full compliance of handheld technology (PDA & Tablet) using RFM’s management system FSI Go.
  • To take part in an On-Call rota providing 24hr, 365-day cover to the Facilities.
  • To report all accidents and incidents as per RFM’s Health and Safety Policy.
  • The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM's policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.
  • To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services.
  • To carry out any other duties within your capability, assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM’s operational requirements.

Qualifications and requirements

  • Qualified Electrician with reasonable experience in a maintenance role within a commercial setting.
  • City & Guilds or equivalent qualification required including 18th Edition and AM2 Practical Skills Assessment.
  • Experience in electrical power distribution systems, and preferred experience in electrical testing.
  • Valid UK Driving Licence required.
  • Enhanced DBS Check before starting the job.
