Your new role:
- The complete financial and contractual control of building projects by means of being fully reimbursed for works executed, at the appropriate stages of time.
- Identify, mitigate, manage, and report on risks that may affect the business.
- Provide leadership and direction to the commercial teams to deliver the projects’ budgets through the economic use of the company’s resources i.e., management, labour, plant and materials to ensure maximum return from all construction operations.
- Act and ensure all those within your control act professionally to protect and maintain the good standing of the company within the industry and its clients.
- Work in conjunction with the Commercial Director, Regional Managing Director and Operations Director in terms of issues that affect the operational effectiveness of the business.
- Support the company in achieving its budget and business plan through preparation, delivery, and commercial management of projects.
- Ensure the company complies with all the requirements of the Construction Commercial and Financial procedures as produced by Group and Construction Executive.
- Ensure reporting as required by the Construction Commercial and Financial procedures is carried out timeously and accurately.
- Ensure that all projects being entered into have been vetted from a commercial and contractual perspective, and as such the risks associated with each form of contract have been recognised and understood, seeking guidance from the Commercial Director as necessary.
- Carry out pre‑construction/tendering process ensuring that commercial and contractual risks are identified through the qualification of the bid.
