Maintenance Electrician
Location: Mobile – East of Scotland
Contract – Full time Permanent

Your new role
What you\’ll do:
- To undertake planned and responsive electrical / mechanical work either independently or supervised
- To undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the resident group.
- To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment, and tools.
- To always operate with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety.
- Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
- To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and ensuring all tasks are completed within contractual timescales, informing the administrator or Contract Lead of any follow up action that may be required
- Ability to complete NICEIC documentation
- Full compliance of handheld technology (PDA & Tablet) using RFM’s management system FSI Go
- To take part in an On-Call rota providing 24hr, 365-day cover to the Facilities
- To report all accidents and incidents as per RFM’s Health and Safety Policy
- The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM\’s policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.
- To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services.
- The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM\’s policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.
- To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM’s operational requirements (must have an understanding of pumps, motors, and fire dampers)
What you\’ll need:
- The ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach
- Previous maintenance experience working in FM environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team and under pressure
- Dedication and ambition to develop within the role
- Computer literate and numerate
- To be capable of multi-tasking
- Experience in electrical power distribution systems/lighting systems and fault finding and installation
- Hold a current valid IPAF / MEWP license
- Ability to cover tasks out with core skill
- C&G 2382-18th Edition
- C&G 2391 or Equivalent
- C&G 2360 pt 1&2 or NVQ Level 3 Multiskilled Mechanical / Electrical (or equivalent)
- Valid UK Driving Licence for at least 12 months
Who we’re looking for:
The post holder will work as part of the mobile maintenance team with continuing responsibility for the provision of a comprehensive, high quality Reactive Maintenance, Planned and Lifecycle service for the client contract within the given region. The post holder will have a designated core skill (Electrician) and will be expected to lead in this area but will also be expected to undertake any property maintenance work within the post holder’s range of competence. The post holder needs to have a flexible working approach as the role will require tasks carried out that may be out with contracted hours of work.
