Your new role
As Hard Services Manager, you will oversee and manage the maintenance, repair, small works, and compliance function for our public sector client. The Hard FM service consists of delivery of a planned and reactive maintenance service in accordance with key performance indicators and quality standards. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Manage the delivery of maintenance activity including reactive, planned, and small works throughout the assigned geographical region across multiple diverse client sites.
- Ensure delivery of a safe, customer-focused, cost-effective, efficient, and compliant service to meet contractual and legal obligations.
- Carry out asset verification across the estate.
- Plan PPM work for the maintenance team and sub-contractors using the FM CAFM system, and update the system diary to reflect any changes in PPM dates.
- Liaise with the client to ensure that all works delivered are to the required standard, with no disruptions to the school day, and agree remedial works where appropriate.
- Ensure optimum delivery of responsive and cyclical maintenance work is carried out on time and efficiently to meet defined performance expectations.
- Work hands-on with the maintenance team to review plant faults, identify, and implement appropriate resolutions.
- Act as Authorised Person Low Voltage for the contract, ensuring permits are issued in relation to complex systems.
- Act as the engineering lead on the contract, ensuring that Gas Safe, Biomass etc. are maintained, and paperwork is compliant.
- Liaise with specialist sub-contractors to ensure their service is delivered on time, to the required quality, and at the appropriate cost.
- Ensure a quality service is received and any defects are rectified satisfactorily.
About you
You will have previous experience of leading a multi-disciplined maintenance team in the provision of Facilities Management services and customer liaison. You will demonstrate awareness of statutory requirements for compliance and be able to balance the needs of quality and profit on the contract. Previous experience using CAFM and BMS systems is required. Due to the multi-site nature of this position, a valid UK Driving licence is necessary.
