Overview

Your new role
What you'll do:
- Deliver a comprehensive property and maintenance service to the QMU to the standards defined in the FM Agreement and SFG20.
- Ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement between RFM and Local Based Clients.
- Undertake planned, responsive and cyclical maintenance work independently or as assistant to a maintenance tradesman, including:
- Service and repair of boilers/HTG plant.
- Service and repair of motors and pumps.
- Service and repair of fan coil units and associated systems.
- Service and repair to HVAC control panels.
- Service and repair of fire alarm systems.
- Operate and maintain BMS control systems competently.
- Maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports, and inform the administrator or tradesmen of follow‑up action.
- Operate with safe working practices and comply with health and safety, COSHH, infection control, and waste disposal regulations.
- Ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment and tools.
- Take part in an on‑call rota providing 24‑hour, 365‑day cover.
- Report all accidents and incidents as appropriate.
- Support other RFM personnel on site in delivering contracted services.
- Carry out other duties assigned by the Management Team.
What you'll need:
- Maintenance experience working in commercial buildings.
- Qualified tradesman or extensive experience of property maintenance in the public or private sector.
- Gas qualifications: CCN1, CENWAT, CIGA1, CKR1, COCN1, CONGLP1PD, CORT1, CPA1, HTR1, ICPN1, TPCP1.
- SVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation (or equivalent) / 18th Edition.
- Experience in HVAC/Mechanical systems.
- FGAS certification.
- Full UK driving licence.
Candidate requirements:
A PVG/Disclosure Check is required before starting the job.
