Your new role
About the role
Ready to head into the world of work? A Graduate Apprenticeship could be your ideal start to the next phase of your career. You’ll learn about the job, on the job, whilst we support you through further studies, so you’ll gain qualifications as well as work experience and skills. As a Graduate Apprentice Estimator, you will be responsible for:
- Analyse historical data and market trends to inform cost estimates.
- Support the preparation of bids and proposals for new and existing contracts..
- Work with suppliers to obtain quotes for materials and services.
- Communicate with suppliers by email, video calls and phone calls.
- Assistestimators when preparing presentations for pricing reviews.
- Maintain accurate records of estimates, for reference and benchmarking for future bids.
What you\’ll need:
- 4 Highers (B)/A Levels/Btec or HNC/HND equivalent in relevant subject
- Higher maths is essential
- The ability to work on own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work as part of a team and under pressure
- Dedication and ambition to develop within the role
- Computer literate and numerate
Who we\’re looking for:
As a Graduate Apprentice Estimatorwe understand this may be one of your first roles so we’re looking for someone with a genuine interest in the built environment, some level of experience would be great but if you can demonstrate the ability to work on your own initiative and demonstrate a methodical approach with excellent written and verbal communications skills this could be the role for you. You’ll also need to demonstrate your dedication and ambition to develop with the role which we can support you.
