Your new role

  • Delivery of maintenance service to the Balfour Hospital to the standards defined in the FM Agreement, SFG20 and SHTMs.
  • Support the Team Leader and Contract Manager with the Client and stakeholders to ensure positive and constructive working relationships, attending meetings as required.
  • To undertake planned, responsive and cyclical maintenance work either independently, under the supervision of the Contract Manager.
  • To operate at all times with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
  • To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and helpdesk reports using the CAFM system, informing the Contract Manager or tradesmen of any follow up action that may be required.
  • To take part in an On‑Call rota providing 24hrs, 365 days cover to the Facilities.
  • Support in the provision of accurate monthly reports to the Client and RFM Management Team confirming compliance with the requirements of the contract and identifying issues for discussion, future workload, risks and opportunities.
  • Ensure that all processes are designed and undertaken and audited in compliance with the following standards, ISO9001, ISO14001, OHSAS18001 and ISO50001, as well as additional Client requirements.
  • Manage both planned and reactive tasks through the CAFM system, ensuring that asset data and requirements are accurate ensuring compliance with contract and legislative requirements.

What you’ll need:

  • Maintenance experience working in commercial buildings.
  • Experience of working within Critical Environments with a working knowledge of the Clean Room Validation Process.
  • Managing both Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Building Management Control Systems (BMS).
  • Good IT skills and fluency with a range of PC packages.
  • Experience in Managing Permit to Work Systems i.e. Working at Height use of high level and powered access equipment, as well as the use of portable and fixed ladders.
  • Water Management experience of L8.

The successful candidate will require a PVG/Disclosure Check.

Who we’re looking for:

The post holder will work as part of the mobile maintenance team with continuing responsibility for the provision of a comprehensive, high quality Reactive Maintenance, Planned and Lifecycle service for the Balfour Hospital contract within the given region. The postholder will work as part of a flexible team with continuing responsibility for the provision of a comprehensive, high quality property maintenance service to all facilities on site. Each postholder will have a designated core skill (Maintenance Plumber) and will be expected to lead in this area, but will also be expected to undertake any property maintenance work within the postholder’s range of competence.
