Location: Gateshead
Your new role
As a Senior Project Manager, you will work closely with the Project Quantity Surveyor, providing the necessary input to allow the Quantity Surveyor to report on the current and projected financial status of the project. You will help develop the project's main logic of works programme and ensure that no work commences on site until health and safety policy and the relevant construction phase plan are in place.
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop Method Statements and Risk Assessments together with the Safety Plan and observe the requirements of the CDM Regulations in the status of Principal Contractor.
- Provide leadership and support to all employees.
- Manage labour and maintain high productivity.
- Expedite materials and information release from the design team.
- Comply with the requirements of the company’s Quality Procedure and Manual.
- Manage all sub-contractors and supply chain effectively.
- Supervise the quality of the works and hand over a snag-free building.
About you
You’ll have previous leadership experience in the construction industry, along with a degree in a built environment discipline or relevant trade expertise. You should be able to supervise projects from inception to completion while exemplifying our commitment to Health & Safety and ensuring quality and best practice. Above all, you’ll be a confident and credible communicator who can explain complex issues to sub-contractors and clients at all levels of business.
