Location : Anderson High School, Lerwick, Shetland

Contract – Full time Permanent

Hours of work: 38.75 hours per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am to 5pm Benefits: Competitive annual salary and relocation package available.

Your new role

What you’ll do:

As an Electrician, you’ll be responsible for:

  • To ensure that the Facilities are maintained to the levels specified in the Performance Standards of the Project Agreement between RFM and our clients.
  • To undertake planned, responsive and cyclical maintenance work under the supervision of the Team Leader.
  • To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment and tools
  • To operate at all times with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal, etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
  • Ability to complete NICEIC documentation
  • To take part in an on-call rota providing 24 hour, 365 day cover to the facilities.
  • Full compliance of handheld technology (PDA & Tablet) using RFM’s management system FSI Go
  • To report all accidents and incidents as per RFM’s Health and Safety Policy
  • To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services.
  • The postholder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM’s polices, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.
  • To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM’s operational requirements.
  • What you\’ll need:

  • City & Guilds th Edition
  • Experience of working within Critical Environments
  • Managing both Environmental Management Systems (EMS) and Building Management Control Systems (BMS)
  • Good IT skills and fluency with a range of PC packages
  • Have the knowledge to install, repair, inspect & test electrical installations and have
    the ability to fill in correctly, the appropriate Electrical Certificate or Electrical
    Condition Report
  • Experience in Managing Permit to Work Systems . Working at Height use of high level and powered access equipment, as well as the use of portable and fixed ladders.
  • The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check before starting in the job.
