As Maintenance Engineer - Gas, you’ll be part of a team that’s doing incredible things – for ourselves, for the partners we work with, and for a truly sustainable future.
Your new role
- Undertake planned, reactive and cyclical maintenance work either independently or supervised.
- To undertake maintenance duties in such a manner as to support the objectives of the client and with respect for the dignity and privacy of the resident group.
- To ensure the safe operation of all plant, equipment, and tools.
- To always operate with safe working practices with due regard to Health and Safety Regulations, COSHH, Control of Infection, Waste Disposal etc in accordance with legislative requirements and policies and procedures of RFM.
- To maintain asset histories, maintenance records and ensuring all tasks are completed within contractual timescales, informing the administrator or Contract Lead of any follow up action that may be required.
- Full compliance of handheld technology (PDA & Tablet) using RFM’s management system FSI Go.
- To take part in an On-Call rota providing 24hr, 365-day cover to the Facilities.
- To report all accidents and incidents as per RFM’s Health and Safety Policy.
- The post holder will be required to maintain an awareness of RFM's policies, procedures and objectives related to the successful delivery of the maintenance service.
- To provide support and assistance to other RFM personnel on site in the delivery of contracted services.
- To carry out any other duties assigned by the Management Team in connection with RFM’s operational requirements (must have an understanding of pumps, motors, and fire dampers).
What you'll need:
- Time served Commercial Gas Engineer with experience in installation and maintenance work.
- Post holder must hold a full current driving license and be willing to travel.
- We would expect excellent Customer Care.
- Ability to work on own initiative.
- Ability to work safely at all times.
- Ability to work within a team.
- The successful candidate will require a PVG/Disclosure Check.
