As a Janitor, you will carry out routine and ad-hoc janitorial duties, support on-site personnel, supervise cleaning staff, and maintain energy systems in line with contract conditions. You may provide support to other sites as directed by the Lead Janitor or Facilities Manager.
Responsibilities
- Carrying out routine and ad-hoc janitorial duties in support of all on-site personnel to ensure compliance with contract conditions.
- Carrying out planned janitorial maintenance duties in accordance with agreed timescales and procedures and undertake any property maintenance work within the post holder's range of competence.
- Supervising, developing and monitoring of all cleaning staff to ensure cleaning standards are maintained in accordance with contract conditions and agreed quality management procedures.
- Maintaining the safe and efficient operation of all the school's energy systems in accordance with agreed contract conditions.
- Providing support and assistance to any other sites as directed by the Lead Janitor or Facilities Manager.
Qualifications
- Awareness of Health & Safety issues and the need for safe methods of working.
- Awareness of COSHH regulations.
- The successful candidate will require a DBS/Disclosure Check prior to starting in the role.
