Responsibilities
- Ensure that the quality of the Building Services installations are in line with the requirements of the specifications and project requirements by carrying out inspections and vetting of Sub‑Contractor QA procedures.
- Quality auditing.
- Training of RCE site personnel in what to look out for in snagging and defects monitoring.
- Ensure that RCE hand over a fully working and functioning building and fully control to the set parameters of the design intent.
- Assist in the sub‑contractor selection and tender process for the Building Services elements of our works.
- Ensure all health, safety and quality procedures are followed in conjunction with the Group Quality Assurance Plan.
- Provide site assistance and advice to our site staff through the duration of our contract works and in particular support the progress and technical meetings involving Building Services.
- Coordinate the procurement and progress of site utilities from the nominated service providers.
- Coordinate the production and receipt of design information and the subsequent installation and commissioning of the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing and other associated special services, to ensure that the overall phasing and completion of the works are achieved as required by the Contract Programme and within budget.
- Provide building services ‘troubleshooting’ service on previously completed projects as required.
Requirements
- Previous similar experience in Building Services in the construction industry either from a trade or consultancy background.
- Experience in dealing with Building Services consultants, architects, engineers, clients, sub‑contractors and specialist support providers.
- Ability to communicate with staff at all levels.
