As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you’ll be part of a team that’s doing incredible things for the built environment around us and for a truly sustainable future.
Your new role:
- Preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works for pricing projects
- Dealing with tender stage subcontract and material enquiries
- Assisting with subcontract procurement, agreement, payment and award
- Attending, contributing to and taking minutes of meetings as required
- Preparing valuations with clients, agreeing amounts for payment and ensuring invoices are prepared and issued
- Re-measuring work using site measurement and measurement from drawings
- Informing sub-contractors of contract variations
- Dealing with contractual issues from a commercial perspective
- Provision of cost advice to Design Consultants
- Assisting with reporting on contract performance via monthly cost/value reconciliations
- Agreeing client and sub-contract final accounts
About you:
You’ll already be qualified and experienced in this field, with a background in managing budgets and delivering similar services to a high standard. Strong communication, sales and negotiation skills, an analytical approach, and a genuine ability to set realistic objectives and solve key problems are just as important.
