We are currently looking to expand our Quality Assurance team with a dedicated and technically minded Test Engineer. Based at our headquarters in Conwy, this role is critical to ensuring that our equipment meets the high standards our customers expect.

About the Role

As a Test Engineer, you will be responsible for upholding our quality assurance standards. You will carry out a range of investigations to verify equipment performance and troubleshoot issues, working closely with our manufacturing and engineering teams. This is a hands-on role requiring technical competence, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

Key Responsibilities

  • Calibrate and operation of borehole logging equipment
  • Analyse borehole logs and verify they meet accepted tolerances
  • Investigate and localise equipment faults
  • Promote and maintain a safe working environment
  • Preparation of equipment certification and client usage documentation

Essential Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM subject (preferably Geophysics)
  • Good computer literacy, including Microsoft Office proficiency and ability to learn new software
  • Diligent, self-motivated, and well-organised with strong record-keeping skills
  • Confidence to make and stand by decisions
  • Live or willing to relocate to a commutable distance from Conwy

  • Practical, hands-on technical skills
  • Strong numeracy skills (ideally A-level Maths or equivalent)
  • Relevant experience in practical geophysics
