Are you an experienced Management Accountant with excellent interpersonal skills? Do you thrive in a dynamic environment where your financial expertise directly impacts service delivery and organisational efficiency? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you! Robertson Bell are supporting a reputable care provider to recruit a Management Accountant on an interim basis, with the potential to transition into a permanent role. You will be responsible for providing essential financial insights, ensuring that budgets are well-managed, variances are understood, and financial reporting supports decision-making at the senior management level. This is a hybrid role, asking for office attendance two days per week in London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and analyse budgets, ensuring that they align with organisational goals and provide detailed variance analysis to budget holders.
  • Meet with budget holders to explain variances, offering insight into what is driving them for each service area.
  • Compile detailed reports for the Senior Management Team, providing clear explanations for variances and offering a full-year projection.
  • Assess the costing and viability of ad hoc projects as required.
  • Producing full sets of management accounts.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Strong experience in management accounting, with a proven track record in budget management, variance analysis, and preparing financial reports for senior leadership.
  • Experience of working within the finance function of a care provider.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise confidently with budget holders, offering clear explanations and insights.
  • A proactive, solutions-oriented approach with the ability to identify and address issues before they become problems.
  • An accounting qualification is desirable but not essential.
