Are you a seasoned Finance Systems Project Manager with a proven record of delivering complex implementations? Do you have a passion for working with charitable organisations to drive process improvements and long-term transformation? If yes, read on!

Robertson Bell is proud to be partnering with a well-respected charity in their search for an Interim Finance Systems Project Manager to lead a pivotal systems project over the next nine months. With strong strategic vision and a commitment to modernisation, the finance team is embarking on a key systems upgrade to better serve the wider organisation – and they need a capable, credible project lead to make this happen.

In this role you will:

  • Take full ownership of planning, delivery, and oversight of the finance system implementation.
  • Develop a robust project plan, clearly defining scope, timelines, deliverables and resource needs.
  • Build and lead a project team, fostering cross-departmental collaboration and maintaining strong stakeholder engagement.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and milestones to senior stakeholders, ensuring transparency and alignment.
  • Manage risk mitigation, budgets, and quality assurance throughout all phases of delivery.
  • Oversee user training and lead on User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
  • Ensure smooth project closure and handover, with clear documentation and knowledge transfer.

The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of successfully delivering finance systems projects within complex organisations.
  • Strong project management credentials – ideally APM or PRINCE2 qualified.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Experience managing hybrid project teams and navigating organisational change.
  • A proactive and adaptable approach, able to hit the ground running in a fast-paced environment.
  • (Desirable) A recognised accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW).
