We’re recruiting exclusively for a renowned institution seeking a Financial Modeller to drive the financial planning and long-term capital. With a capital budget of £3bn for the next decade, you will work closely with senior stakeholders, including the CFO, COO, and Head of Treasury, to model out critical financial projects and shape the future of this well-established organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead the development and maintenance of the 5-Year Capital Plan, ensuring strategic projects are effectively modelled and funded.
- Build and optimise long-term financial models for major capital projects, covering P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
- Conduct detailed investment appraisals, scenario analysis, and support decision-making with robust financial insights.
- Manage the Research Capital Investment Fund, ensuring efficient allocation and monitoring of funding.
- Collaborate with Finance Business Partners and project managers to forecast cash flows, update budgets, and reforecast as projects evolve.
- Leverage Power BI and Excel to deliver visualised insights and create management information to influence strategic decisions.
- Attend high-level meetings with senior stakeholders to present financial outcomes and provide strategic recommendations.
This permanent Financial Modeller will be based in central London and benefit from hybrid working, with only two days a week required in the office, allowing for flexibility and a great work-life balance. The position provides the opportunity to contribute to a values-driven, mission-focused organisation that places a strong emphasis on professional development. Additionally, you’ll gain high visibility and exposure, working closely with C-suite executives and key leaders on major projects.
About You:- Fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) with strong financial modelling experience.
- Proven track record in capital planning, budgeting, and financial forecasting for large-scale projects.
- Expertise in Excel is essential and experience with Power BI is highly desirable.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of translating complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Proactive, solutions-focused, and confident in liaising with senior stakeholders.
- Experience in FRS 102 and investment appraisal techniques is advantageous.
