We’re working with a prominent organisation undergoing significant change to recruit a Finance Business Partner on a two-year fixed-term contract. This role will provide valuable financial support to a service-led directorate, delivering insightful analysis and modelling to inform budgeting, forecasting, and client reporting as part of a wider transformation.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop and maintain financial models to monitor budgets, challenge forecasts, and assess programme costs.
  • Build strong relationships across commercial, and senior leadership teams to influence key decisions.
  • Lead client meetings, presenting risks and opportunities in a clear and engaging way to non-finance specialists.
  • Own the month-end process and deliver high-quality reporting for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Act as a Finance Business Partner, supporting a service-led directorate with budgeting, forecasting, and financial insight.

This position is based in Durham and offers hybrid working, requiring you to go into the office three days per week. You will also benefit from an employer pension contribution of c.Β£14, pa., a generous annual leave allowance and unparallelled wellbeing benefits.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Have solid experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modelling, with the ability to interpret numbers and tell a clear financial story.
  • Ideally be fully qualified however, finalist Accountants with a strong grasp of core accounting principles will be considered.
  • Demonstrate excellent Excel skills and be confident building and adapting models to support decision-making.
  • Be proactive, commercially aware, and capable of working independently in a complex, fast-paced environment.
  • Possess strong communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage effectively across a range of stakeholders.
