We’re looking for an ambitious and personable Assistant Finance Manager to support key financial processes and help drive performance across a dynamic portfolio. This role blends technical accounting responsibilities with meaningful stakeholder engagement, offering the perfect mix of variety and impact.

What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting the delivery of high-quality month-end reporting, quarterly forecasts, and the annual budget

Handling a wide range of day-to-day financial queries, analysis, and ad hoc requests

Partnering with senior stakeholders across six professional services sub-departments

Assisting with team oversight and working closely with the Finance Manager on key deliverables

Working across Excel and associated tools to maintain and improve financial processes

Contributing to commercial projects and strategic initiatives within the wider university

Helping modernise systems and enhance data-driven decision making

What We’re Looking For

AAT Level 4 or part-qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACA (or QBE with strong experience)

Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, proactive mindset

Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and month-end activity

Comfortable working in a busy, stakeholder-facing finance role

Confident Excel user with the ability to adapt to new systems quickly
