Financial Accountant
South London | 2x days per month in office | £50k–£52k | Permanent
A Financial Accountant role with real ownership, international exposure and plenty of scope to shape how finance operates.
This is a chance to step into a broad financial accounting role within a well-established purpose-led organisation, taking ownership of the balance sheet, statutory accounts and a range of group accounting activity. You’ll work closely with the Financial Controller and FP&A team, with the autonomy to get under the skin of the numbers, challenge what you see and make improvements rather than simply keeping things ticking over.
The organisation operates across multiple entities and international markets, so there’s plenty of variety alongside the core accounting remit. It’s a particularly good fit for someone technically strong who also enjoys working with people outside finance and wants the scope to grow their responsibilities over time.

What you’ll do
- Own balance sheet reconciliations and month-end accounting
- Prepare statutory accounts and supporting schedules
- Support audit, VAT, PAYE and intercompany accounting
- Contribute to actuals and cashflow forecasting
- Support group consolidation and international reporting
- Improve financial processes, systems and reporting
What you’ll bring
- Ideally a full accountancy qualification but those who are part-qualified or QBE with relevant experience will still be considered
- Strong financial accounting and balance sheet experience
- Experience with statutory accounts and audit
- Good understanding of VAT and intercompany accounting
- A confident communicator who can work independently, build relationships and challenge constructively
