Service Charge Officer
Location: Leicester, Hybrid option possible

Rate: £30000 - £33000
Contract: Until Feb 2027
We are recruiting for an experienced Service Charge Officer to join a busy finance team in Leicester. This is a full-time hybrid role, combining home working with office and property visits.
Key Responsibilities

Prepare year-end service charge statements and annual budgets.

Validate service charge actuals and investigate variances.

Review costs, invoice coding, accruals and prepayments.

Manage a portfolio of schemes and respond to service charge queries.

Liaise with residents, internal teams, auditors and external stakeholders.

Ensure charges are accurate, transparent and provide value for money.

Support year-end adjustments and customer communications.

Ensure compliance with relevant service charge legislation and regulations.
About You
The ideal candidate will have:

Experience in a service charge finance role, ideally within housing or property.

Knowledge of service charge legislation.

Strong Excel and financial analysis skills.

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.

Experience working to tight deadlines in a regulated environment.

Strong communication and customer service skills.

AAT qualification/study towards AAT is desirable, but qualified by exp
