The Electrical operator will be assisting the team or as an individual on all vessel types to install and connect electrical systems. The Operator will take guidance from the Group Leader in the installation and commissioning of electrical systems. The Operator will also be responsible for time management of himself and for meeting set out targets.
Key Job Functions
- Build and install electrical systems in conjunction with the electrician.
- Assist electrician in small tasks.
- Accept tasks from team leaders and monitor progress.
- Support Production (Moulding shop, Assembly line) onsite during the install process to ensure good workflow.
- Support the Electrical team in completing all set-out tasks.
- Perform ad hoc tasks as and when required.
- Assist the Group Leader in controlling all documents issued.
Qualifications And Experience
Minimum Requirements:
- NQF Level 2 or grade 10
Ideal:
- Matric (Grade 12) or N3.
Proven knowledge of electrical systems. At least 2 years’ experience in electrical work in the marine industry. The incumbent should have the ability to work under pressure and maintain the required standards. Willingness to work overtime as and when required. Ability to perform a variety of tasks.
