We are searching for an enthusiastic Sales Advisor to join our internal Holiday Sales team to help us sell our wide range of holiday packages to customers.

Who are we? We are the largest coach operator in Leicestershire, and we have spent our last 30 years of business building an unrivalled experience and a friendly and trustworthy reputation. We have an extensive fleet of executive vehicles which helps us to service our programme of over 500 coach holidays, day trips and short breaks across the UK and Europe. We also operate a wide range of Private Hire jobs for a variety of occasions and provide school transport to thousands of pupils. Having recently invested in a brand new, state of the art departure lounge and expanded our programme even further, we are at an exciting point of growth and it is a great point to join a forward-thinking company.

The role will be based at the Roberts Travel Group HQ in Hugglescote, Leicestershire, and will involve promoting and selling coach holiday packages to customers, ensuring exceptional service at every stage of the sales process. This role involves understanding customer needs, offering tailored holiday recommendations, and achieving sales targets. The role requires the candidate to possess strong communication skills, a passion for travel, and the ability to build lasting relationships with our customers.

What will the role entail? Working as our Holiday Sales Advisor, you can expect the following to be your main duties & responsibilities:

  • Sales and Customer Service: Engage with customers by phone, in person and in written form to provide information on coach holiday options, answer queries, and make personalised recommendations.
  • Booking Management: Guide customers through the booking process, confirm reservations, and manage any changes or specific requests e.g. accessibility, dietary. To help with any general office administration as required to ensure customer bookings are complete. To assist with the production of rooming lists and other administrative tasks and liaising with hotels as appropriate.
  • Target Achievement: Meet and exceed monthly set sales targets, contributing to the overall success of the holiday’s sales team.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay updated on destinations, tour itineraries, pricing, and promotions to deliver accurate and informative information to our customers.
  • Customer Follow-Up: Conduct follow-up calls to brochure enquiries and emails to provide support and assistance to prospective customers and guide them through the booking process.
  • Upselling to Roberts Travel Club: Proactively promote and upsell the Roberts Travel Club, explaining the membership benefits, members offers, and added value customers receive by being part of the club.
  • Travel Insurance: Advise customers accurately and in line with regulations on the Roberts Travel Group official insurance product, processing this as part of the customer sale where requested.
  • Communicate with Operational Team: You will be required to liaise with our operational department in relation to our feeder vehicles and drivers.
  • Roadshows and Events: To form part of the team that attend and represent Roberts Travel Group at scheduled roadshows and events. Engage with attendees, provide travel information, and promote Roberts Travel Club Holidays, Day Trips and Travel Club memberships.
  • Out-of-Hours and Flexible Support: Be available to work outside of regular hours as required to support our tour departures and returns, roadshows, events, and other business needs.
  • Additional Duties: Undertake any additional duties as requested by your line manager to support the team and keep our holidays business running smoothly! This role will involve some manual handling of customers' luggage.
