We are looking for an experienced and organised Office Services Supervisor to join a busy professional services environment in Manchester. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys keeping an office running smoothly, delivering a high standard of service and supporting a team to perform at its best. You’ll work closely with senior operations colleagues, suppliers, employees and visitors, while taking responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of office services.

Key responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day office services: Ensure the workplace is clean, welcoming, well-stocked, safe and fully operational, including meeting rooms, kitchens, supplies and general facilities.
- Manage suppliers and contractors: Coordinate external providers, monitor service standards and help resolve any issues quickly and effectively.
- Lead and support the team: Allocate work, manage rotas and holidays, provide training and coaching, and contribute to performance reviews, objectives and ongoing development.
- Deliver excellent service: Act as a key point of contact for employees, clients and visitors, providing a professional and responsive service and supporting reception and front-of-house activities when required.
- Manage administration and compliance: Maintain accurate records, process invoices and orders, support office planning and moves, and ensure relevant health, safety and regulatory requirements are met.
- Support wider office operations: Assist with events and functions, mail and courier services, visitor management, switchboard cover and other operational requirements, escalating issues appropriately.
Key skills & qualifications
- Previous experience in office services, facilities or office operations, ideally within a professional or corporate environment.
- Proven supervisory or team management experience, with the ability to coach, support and develop colleagues.
- Strong organisation and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and respond effectively in a busy environment.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills, with confidence dealing with people at all levels, including clients, suppliers and senior stakeholders.
- Good IT and administrative skills, combined with strong attention to detail, a proactive approach and an awareness of health, safety and operational risk.
