This is an opportunity to join a high performing, ambitious business operating in a fast paced and competitive market. As an Area Sales Representative, you'll play a key role in driving revenue growth across your territory, building long-term client relationships and spotting new opportunities ahead of the competition.
This role will suit someone with real sales hunger—a self-starter who enjoys being out in the field, thrives on momentum and is motivated by targets, growth and winning new business.
The Role
- You'll take full ownership of your designated geographical area, managing existing accounts while proactively identifying and securing new business.
- You'll act as a trusted partner to customers, understanding their needs and positioning the company's products and services to deliver real value. Covering the North of England.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to drive loyalty and repeat business.
- Actively communicate with customers to understand their needs, resolve issues and identify upsell opportunities.
- Identify, pursue and convert new business opportunities within your territory.
- Consistently meet and exceed sales targets through proactive, solution-led selling.
- Develop and execute territory sales plans to maximise revenue and market share.
- Monitor market activity, competitor movements and industry trends to stay one step ahead.
- Analyse sales data to identify patterns, opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Produce regular sales reports outlining activity, performance and pipeline.
- Work closely with internal teams including sales, marketing and operations to maximise overall performance.
- Share customer insight and market feedback to support wider commercial and marketing strategy.
Requirements
- A proven track record in a field-based or territory sales role ideally within the healthcare, pharma, biotech industry.
- Strong commercial awareness with the ability to spot and act on opportunities.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, driven and comfortable working in a fast-paced, target-led environment.
- Organised, analytical and confident managing your own area and pipeline.
- Flexible with travel, must have a UK driving license.
