Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives on solving complex people challenges and building strong relationships with managers? We’re looking for a confident and commercially minded HR Adviser to join a growing team. This is a fast‑paced, advisory‑focused role where no two days are the same.
Salary: Up to £40k
Hours: Monday to Saturday (Typically 1 Saturday per month, and you'll have a day off in the week).
The role:
- You’ll act as a trusted partner to managers, providing clear, practical HR advice across a wide range of employee relations matters.
- From handling sensitive cases to coaching managers through difficult conversations, you’ll play a key role in driving positive outcomes while protecting both people and business performance.
- Providing expert HR advice via phone and digital channels across a broad range of ER issues, including disciplinaries, grievances and dismissals.
- Managing complex and sensitive cases from start to finish, ensuring timely and effective resolution.
- Coaching and supporting managers to build confidence in handling people matters.
- Escalating high‑risk or complex issues where appropriate.
- Ensuring advice aligns with agreed processes, policies and service standards.
- Maintaining accurate case records using internal systems.
- Supporting and mentoring more junior team members when needed.
- Occasionally attending on‑site meetings or supporting client facing initiatives.
- Contributing to wider HR or transformation projects.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in an HR Advisory role, with strong exposure to employee relations.
- Solid understanding of UK employment law and its practical application.
- Confident communicator, able to influence and build relationships at all levels.
- Commercial, pragmatic approach to problem solving.
- Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, client‑focused environment.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple cases.
- A collaborative team player who enjoys supporting and developing others.
