Employee Relations Advisor – Field Based

We are looking for an experienced and commercially focused Employee Relations Advisor to join a growing organisation and provide expert support across a diverse workforce.

This is a field-based role requiring regular travel to different sites, so the successful candidate will need to be comfortable working independently and providing hands-on support where required.

You will provide advice and guidance across Employee Relations, Wellbeing, Diversity & Inclusion and Reward, while supporting managers, improving HR policies and processes, and contributing to wider people projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Advise managers on complex employee relations matters, including disciplinary, grievance, absence and performance issues.
  • Support escalated cases and employment tribunal matters, working alongside internal and external legal specialists where required.
  • Review and improve HR policies and processes, ensuring they are legally compliant, practical and aligned with business needs.
  • Deliver training and guidance to managers and HR colleagues to strengthen their confidence and capability in handling ER matters.
  • Contribute to wider people initiatives across employee engagement, wellbeing, diversity & inclusion and reward, as well as supporting HR projects when required.
  • Key Skills
  • Proven experience in Employee Relations or HR, with a strong understanding of UK employment legislation.
  • Experience managing complex disciplinary, grievance, absence and redundancy cases.
  • Experience supporting or managing Employment Tribunal cases.
  • Experience working with Trade Unions, employee representatives and dispute resolution.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle, with flexibility to travel nationwide.
  • The successful candidate will need to be comfortable with regular travel as this is a field-based position.
