Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role based at Robert's Florist Ltd in Brynmawr. The Salesperson will greet and assist customers, provide product recommendations, and handle in-store and telephone inquiries. Daily tasks include processing sales transactions, managing orders, supporting basic merchandising of floral displays, and maintaining a clean, welcoming shop environment. The role also involves coordinating with florists on custom arrangements, helping with stock checks, and ensuring a positive customer experience throughout each visit. This role also includes delivering flowers in our company van. Applicant must be 25+ for insurance purposes.
Qualifications
- Customer service and communication skills to engage courteously with a diverse range of customers and understand their needs.
- Sales and basic retail skills, including handling transactions, using point-of-sale systems, and working toward sales goals.
- Organizational and time management skills to manage multiple customer requests, orders, and tasks during busy periods.
- Attention to detail and reliability to support accurate order taking, product presentation, and shop upkeep.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks such as lifting and moving products.
- Interest in flowers, plants, and gifts; prior retail or florist experience is beneficial but not required.
- Willingness to work on-site during standard retail hours, including weekends and peak holiday periods as needed.
