We are seeking a proactive and driven Food Safety & Quality professional to play a key role in strengthening our food safety and quality culture while supporting our transition into a retail customer supply environment. This role is critical in embedding robust quality systems, driving continuous improvement, and ensuring audit and compliance excellence across the site.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation and embedding of a strong food safety and quality culture across the site
  • Lead GAP analysis activities to support transition into retail customer supply standards and drive close‑out actions
  • Conduct and manage traceability and mass balance exercises
  • Challenge root causes of issues and drive effective, sustainable corrective actions
  • Chase and ensure timely close‑out of non‑conformances and audit findings
  • Support investigation and resolution of customer complaints
  • Provide support and cover for shift QA as required
  • Lead customer and third‑party audits, acting as a key site representative
  • Support continuous improvement of quality management systems and site standards

12 Hour shifts (07.00 – 19.00 4 on / 4 off)

Reporting to Food Safety & Quality Manager

Skills & Experience Required

  • Strong experience in food safety and quality within a food manufacturing environment
  • Experience supplying or preparing to supply retail customers
  • Solid understanding of HACCP, GMP, traceability, and audit standards
  • Proven experience completing GAP analysis and driving compliance improvements
  • Experience leading or supporting customer and third‑party audits
  • Strong root cause analysis and problem‑solving skills
  • Ability to influence teams and drive cultural change
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Confident communicator able to challenge and influence at all levels

Desirable

  • Level 3 Food Safety and HACCP qualification
  • Experience with BRCGS or equivalent standards
  • Previous experience in a site going through retail readiness transition
