Job Purpose: To drive operational improvement across our MG plant. Working in conjunction with Engineering, Technical, and Hygiene to identify opportunities and optimise efficiencies for improvement. Proactive communication with all operational colleagues to raise/maintain awareness of all improvements work planned and completed.

What You Will Contribute:

  • Contribute to the delivery of Manufacturing/Despatch/Hygiene key performance indicators (productivity, efficiency, quality) and meeting daily production demands.
  • Working closely with engineers to raise asset inefficiencies and to prioritise improvements to ensure consistency and efficiency of the plant.
  • Regular communication via appropriate channels of planned maintenance shutdown to plant operators, clear individual responsibilities highlighted, and timely dialogue on progress/completion.
  • Create a weekly communication forum through displays and briefings to operators detailing actual and future anticipated plant performance to include OEE, waste, downtime, responsibility and ownership of plant performance.
  • Maintain and review risk assessments including work instructions by plant to include slicing that will include actions created from hierarchy of risks across each plant to ensure TLs continue to update Risk assessments as and when required.

What You Will Bring:

  • Proven track record of performance delivery and delivery against targets, results orientated with the capability to analyse data.
  • At least 2 years line management experience, preferably in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Experience in allocating work, managing resource levels, with a strong bias for prioritising operational decisions/actions based on key KPIs and schedules.
  • Inspirational leadership with strong communication skills with the ability to prioritise effectively, make efficient decisions, and escalation where appropriate.
  • Confidence in leading initiatives and business communication, with experience in implementing change through effective messaging and follow-through with your team.
  • Be proficient in the use of MS Office applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook (Desirable).
  • SAP Knowledge and an understanding of financial measures, controls and data.
  • Experience of working within Food Manufacturing and a thorough understanding of Food Hygiene and IOSHH Qualifications with at least 2 years FMCG experience.
  • HACCP Level 2 or greater with a competent knowledge of H&S legislation, audits and processes.
