What You’ll Be Doing
- Collaborating with the NPD team to develop new food concepts and recipes that align with customer briefs and market trends, working at the heart of a collaborative, cross‑functional team.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Driving NPD and EPD projects, delivering innovative, commercially viable savoury pastry products.
- Interpreting customer briefs and transforming them into inspiring, trend‑led concepts.
- Creating, refining recipes to ensure quality, scalability and consistency.
- Preparing and presenting compelling samples and product demonstrations to internal stakeholders and customers.
- Partnering with Technical, Process, Operations, Category and Commercial teams to ensure smooth concept‑to‑launch delivery.
- Supporting continuous improvement and championing high standards of food quality and creativity.
What We’re Looking For
We’re seeking someone who combines culinary flair with commercial awareness and strong collaboration skills.
You’ll Ideally Bring
- Experience as a chef or in product development within food manufacturing (Bakery experience essential).
- A strong understanding of flavour, food trends and market insight.
- Conduct regular, routine taste panels for both standard products & competitor products, and document taste panels in line with Company procedures.
- Supporting & cooking for customer presentations.
- The ability to manage multiple projects and deliver results under pressure.
- Assisting in Pack Copy Information: Completing Cooking Instructions, Shelf‑Life Samples etc.
- Good IT skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and a full UK driving licence.
