We have an exciting opportunity to join our Engineering Team in Northwich as a Shift Lead Engineer.

Job Purpose

To ensure delivery of the Engineering support to the Northwich site 24/7, enabling the Engineering shift team to provide the required levels of service in support of the manufacturing strategy. To ensure the safe, effective and efficient running of the department is maintained through the engineering shift teams and to ensure daily shift workloads are prioritised and delivered in compliance to site policies and procedures.

What You Will Contribute

  • Co-ordinate and prioritise the activities of a shift engineering team in providing support to the operations team.
  • Monitor the completion of PMs and other equipment inspections.
  • Operate as engineering point of contact for Shift Managers.
  • Support Short Interval Control, and daily end of shift review meetings with Shift Managers.
  • Participate in Improvement Groups e.g. wastage reduction.
  • Complete a clear and comprehensive handover to incoming shift engineering team.

What you will bring

  • A fully qualified and experienced Engineer (preferably multiskilled) with at least 5 years experience.
  • Trained to 17th Edition Electrical Regulations (desirable).
  • Familiar with FMCG environment.
  • Experienced in leading a team.
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to coach and support others.

Shift Pattern

4 on 4 off 24/7 (2 days/2 nights)
