Job Purpose
Reporting to the Transport Operations Manager/Head of Logistics,
The Distribution Relief FLM role is key to the implementation of the right processes and practices across the Distribution Department.
To ensure cross functional working with all colleagues and looking at process and reducing costs through continuous improvement.
The Relief role will be based M-F days but will be required to support holiday / sickness cover on all other FLM shifts (Day/Nights).
- What you will contribute
- Ensure all colleagues are working towards an appropriate, cost-effective way and best route to market.
- Improve operational management systems, processes, and best practices.
- Help the department processes remain legally compliant versus data/KPI analysis and reports.
- Assist in the Formulation of strategic and operational objectives in line with the Distribution Manager and business objectives
- Examine financial data and use them to improve profitability through continuous improvements.
- Look at Synergies as required by the Distribution Manager driving costs out, ensuring budgets and forecasts are achieved/exceeded.
- Perform quality controls and monitor the departmental KPIs.
- Where necessary – Assist with the recruitment, training, and supervision of the distribution drivers.
