The Opportunity: Bakery Operative
We have an opportunity for an enthusiastic individual to join us working in our production department. Previous Bakery experience is desirable although we will consider candidates who have had experience in a fast-moving production environment. Full training will be provided.
What you will contribute:
- Follow instructions of daily work structure.
- Work effectively as part of a Team, in line with family values.
- Meet delivery deadlines by ensuring efficient processing of workload.
- Maintain personal standards (hygiene) & a clean as you go policy.
- Complete relevant paperwork and report any non-conformances to the relevant supervisor or manager.
- Maintain the food safety, legality and quality standards as set.
- Awareness of staff and equipment in your area.
- Fully engage with the safety programme, work in a safe responsible manner & not endanger your safety or the safety of others.
- Adhere to SOPs, CICs, SSOWs, WIs, procedures and risk assessments.
- Full knowledge of manual handling requirements.
What you will bring:
- Good general standard of education.
- Flexible approach to support production requirements.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- Capable and willing to learn new skills and apply them consistently.
- Capable of working in small teams to achieve quality products and meet production targets.
Hours of work: 4 on & 4 off shift pattern (days & nights). 2 days 07:00 – 19:00, 2 nights 19:00 – 07:00, 4 days off.
