Join to apply for the Bakery Operative, Morning Goods role at Roberts Bakery 1887. We have a number of opportunities for enthusiastic individuals to join us working in our Morning Goods bread production department in Northwich. Previous experience is desirable although we will consider candidates who have had experience in a fast‑moving production environment. Full training will be provided.
What you will contribute:
- Follow instructions of daily work structure.
- Work effectively as part of a team.
- Meet delivery deadlines by ensuring efficient processing of workload.
- Maintain personal hygiene and a clean‑as‑you‑go policy.
- Complete relevant paperwork and report any non‑conformances to the relevant supervisor or manager.
- Maintain the food safety, legality and quality standards as set.
- Awareness of staff and equipment in your area.
- Fully engage with the safety programme, work in a safe responsible manner & not endanger your safety or the safety of others.
- Adhere to SOPs, CICs, SSOWs, WIs, procedures and risk assessments.
- Full knowledge of manual handling requirements.
What you will bring:
- Good general standard of education.
- Flexible approach to support production requirements.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to follow instructions and to demonstrate a high level of attention to detail.
- Capable and willing to learn new skills and apply them consistently.
- Capable of working in small teams to achieve quality products and meet production targets.
Hours of work: 2 days (07:00-19:00) & 2 nights (19:00-07:00), 4 off.
Salary: Competitive plus a benefits package which includes pension scheme, 20 days holiday, life cover, healthcare cash plan, 24/7 counselling hotline, cycle 2 work scheme, staff shop.
